MEDITATION

In the traditional path of Yoga, Meditation brings us to the “Harvest”

The postures of the body (asanas) and the conscious regulation of the breath (pranayama) harmonise the energies“they prepare the earth and sow the seed”.

Moving the attention away from the senses (pratyahara) and exercises of concentration (dharana) “germinate the seed and the plant grows”.                                                                          In the silence of meditation (dhyana) the fruit of self- knowledge can mature.                                                                              The “Harvest” (samadhi) is the final awakening of the reality of being.                                                                                            During this “Harvest” we recognise that the seed, the plant and the fruit are one and that the path is a “path without path”.                                                                   In the end, this leads us to the place where we have always been - present in the moment.

My own experience

Demo

Meditation means to be present, awake and aware. This can occur with external silence or in the noise and chaos of the day to day.

My Yoga - Audio CD        is available in German      andSpanish.                      For more information click “Audio CD”

To meditate is to pause inwardly and quieten oneself.

Meditation leads me to the present moment, to be here, to that which has no name, which always is… to the true nature of being.

Meditation helps to illuminate the light of our being, letting it penetrate our life deeper and deeper, thus “illuminating” each instant.

Meditation and Self-inquiry

Who am I beyond being the body I inhabit ?             Who am I beyond what I think and feel ?                  Who am I beyond my past and beyond my concepts of the world ?   If all this disappears, what remains ?
